Position: Training Manager, Jewelry & Watches - Americas  
Reporting to: Director, Training – Global Sales
Location: Miami, FL (Preferred) or New York City
 
I. Job Summary:
 
Reporting to the Director, Training – Global Sales, the primary purpose of the Training Manager, Jewelry & Watches is to deliver training courses to the Retail and Wholesale sales organizations in the Americas.  The Global Sales Training Department is responsible for developing skills in all Salon Directors and Sales Executives that will increase corporate revenues.
 
 
II. Key Duties Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
 
·        Understand brand’s DNA and heritage as well as current evolution of the brand
·        Knowledgeable about all product lines and their history within the brand
·        Master the content and delivery of key training courses offered by the Global Sales Training Department
·        Deliver training courses to retail and wholesale staff in the Americas
·        Manage administration of each training course delivered:
o       Scheduling of courses and invitations
o       Manage booking conference rooms/refreshments/meals when delivering offsite and on site(corporate headquarters) courses
o       Monitor acceptances
o       Generate name tags for participants
o       Publish attendee list
o       Generate course completion certificates and distribute to participants
o       Manage course evaluations:
§         Solicit &
§         Input data to Global Sales Training Department records
o       Responsible for organizing course files including all course updates
o       Generate a feedback report on each course:
§         Evaluation of each participant’s skills by course content
§         Recommendation for additional training for a participant
·        Recommend revisions/corrections in training materials and exercises
·        Participate and contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop new training courses to meet business needs as they evolve
·        Manage own travel arrangements and T&E budget
     
 
            III. Key Job Relationships:
          
·        Director, Training Department Global Sales
o       Provide administrative support for key training initiatives as dictated by business needs and objectives
·        Global Training Team
o       Share best practices for each course delivered
o       Course design and development
·        Salon Directors
o       Liaise on training and providing feedback on training results
o       Advise on next steps for each Sales Executive’s further skill development
·        Sales Executives
o       Build relationships to better understand real world sales situations and training needs
·        Marketing and Communications Departments
o       Implement guidelines from these departments at the salon level through training
·        Human Resources
o       Collaborate to address and develop additional training opportunities for delivery to the sales organization such as leadership development & management skills
 
 
IV. Job Qualifications:
         
·        Bachelor’s Degree
·        3 to 5 years of successful retail sales experience, preferably in luxury goods
·        5 to 8 years of successful training experience
·        Excellent presentation and coaching skills
·        Fluent in Spanish
·        Strong PowerPoint & Excel skills

Position: Merchandise Planning Director     
Department: Merchandise Planning
Reporting to: Vice President, International Jewelry Marketing
Location: 1330 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY
 
I. Job Summary:
 
-       Responsible for achieving planned store inventory levels and maintenance of merchandise assortments aligned to the company’s strategies
-       Responsible for forecasting, analysis, assortment planning, and managing inventory levels, world-wide
-       Responsible for development of merchandising strategies and plans on an annual basis
-       Responsible for merchandise forecasts for supply chain capacity management and production prioritization
-       Responsible for managing merchandising team
 
II. Key Duties Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
 
            Merchandise Planning:
-       Create, maintain and update new and model stock for existing stores based on current sales trends and company marketing initiatives
-       Create new model stock based on store financial plans, market research, local market needs and alignment to company marketing initiatives
-       Coordinate quarterly High Jewelry rotation plans based on market needs, seasonality and historical sales
-       Forecast sales and create replenishment orders to ensure target inventory level/turn
-       Track product category selling to maximize stock balance opportunities
-       Manage wholesale channel merchandise assortments, orders and replenishment needs
-       Manage e-commerce channel assortment and inventory coordination
 
Inventory Movement
-       Manage global inventory movements, requests and stock rebalance needs
-       Manage out of stock inventory requests for client appointments: Loose stones, consigned goods
-       Manage product coordination and recommendations for marketing and sales events
-       Coordination and organization of inter-salon product transfer requests
 
Supply Chain Forecasting and Prioritization
-       Continually manage a rolling 18-month sales forecast for procurement and production planning
-       Communicate annual merchandise strategies and calendar of events with supply chain
-       Prioritize and monitor supply chain deliveries against merchandising needs
 
Merchandise Reporting and Analysis:
-       Identify under/over inventory levels and monitor global turns against financial targets and model stock plans
-       Generate inventory reports showing levels against financial budget and inventory plan and identify discrepancies
-       Execute Product Life Cycle Management and properly maintain classification of all existing SKUs; coordinate activities required through planning module and off-line processes
-       Identify aged inventory and recommend exit strategies to increase open to buy
 
Open to Buy Monitoring
-     Manage a monthly open to buy report and forecast
-       Be responsible for monitoring global inventory levels against budget and plan on an annual basis
-       Work with VP of Jewelry Marketing on annual development of inventory and sales budgets with Finance
 
Pricing
-       Coordinate semi-annual review of retail prices through analysis of competitor pricing and market costs and
-       Analyze price positioning of each market to ensure consistency with competition
-       Liaise with IT to execute price revisions at the retail level
 
Merchandise System Development
-    Be responsible for liaising with IT for systems enhancements and continued support for new Merchandise Planning module

            III. Key Job Relationships:
   
Marketing – collaborate on sales events, pricing review, product development, and analyses/reports
Retail sales – communicate daily with salons to support all merchandise needs
Wholesale – manage partner accounts and assist with development of new accounts
Gemstone Acquisition and Manufacturing – communicate overall merchandising strategies and forecasts to ensure supply chain optimization
Finance – Align merchandising strategies with financial plans and work closely to manage inventory levels
IT - briefing of and on-going liaison for systems support for Planning’s business needs
Security – advise on at-risk inventory levels for on and off-site sales events
Creative – assist with merchandise selection for collateral
 
IV. Job Qualifications: The
 
-       Bachelor’s degree in Sciences with minimum 8+ years of merchandise planning experience in Luxury Company
-       Strong experience in business planning and analysis
-       Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
-       Experience in briefing business needs to IT
-       Strong management skills
-       Dynamic and team player
-       Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-       Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment
-       Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
-       Knowledge of gemstones and jewelry a plus+
